Richard Florida (US) ist ein US-amerikanischer Professor und war "Gastbotschafter für Kreativität" im offiziellen EU-Jahr der Kreativität und Innovation 2009. Auf ihn wird der Begriff "Kreative Klasse" zurückgeführt, die er in seiner Theorie als entscheidend für das Wachstum einer Region oder einer Gesellschaft ansieht.
